SCMUA Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority is seeking a Full Time Administrator. The position is available due to a pending retirement.
The SCMUA is seeking an experienced and qualified leader with strong management, communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of budgeting, public finance, human resources, and risk management. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years managerial experience, including experience working with local, county and state officials. Effective communication and writing skills are required, as well as, experience preparing the Board meeting agenda. Possession of QPA certification preferred.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of New Jersey’s various laws and regulations as it pertains to a public agency including; NJ Local Authorities Fiscal Control Law, NJ Local Public Contracts Law, NJ Open Public Meeting Act, and a general understanding of NJDEP rules and regulations as it pertains to a NJ municipal utilities authority. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Civil Engineering is required.
