Residents of Sussex County who do not wish to contract with a garbage hauler may dispose of their Solid Waste at the Residents Convenience Center . This service provides residents and businesses with a facility to dispose of bagged household type waste, construction and demolition waste, bulky waste, tires, propane tanks, etc. This facility is very popular with county residents. Residents are charged a per pound rate for disposal. Check the rate schedule link for current rates.
Residents unload their vehicles into 40 yds dumpsters located at the residents convenience center, then the dumpsters are loaded onto a roll-off truck and transported to a Recycling Facility or landfill as appropriate.
