SCMUA RESIDENTS' CONVENIENCE CENTER at Solid Waste Facility 34 South, Route 94, Lafayette, NJ MONDAY – SATURDAY 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM   Residents of Sussex County who do not wish to contract with a garbage hauler may dispose of their solid waste at the SCMUA Residents Convenience Center. This service provides residents and businesses with a facility to dispose of bagged household type waste, construction and demolition waste, bulky waste, tires, propane tanks, etc.   BAGGED GARBAGE AREA Household Bagged Garbage Disposal Cost  $0.13 / Pound(50¢ minimum scale chrg.) This Center is very popular with county residents. Residents are charged a per pound rate for disposal.  SCMUA staff unload directly from the vehicles.  ONLY Check or cash accepted as this scale.       DROP-OFF AREA Entering over SCMUA truck scales is $115 / ton (approx. $0.06/ Pound)  $10.00 minimum scale charge Residents unload their vehicles into 40 yard dumpsters located at the SCMUA Residents Convenience Center, assisted by SCMUA staff.  The dumpsters are then loaded onto a roll-off truck and transported to the Landfill or a Recycling Facility, as appropriate.  Check, cash, MC and Visa accepted.   Acceptable Items for Disposal at the SCMUA Residents Convenience Center: HOUSEHOLD ITEMS Household bagged garbage Latex (Water-Based) Paints Mattresses and bed springs Furniture, chairs, couches and tables Gas grills and propane tanks Appliances (microwaves, toaster ovens) White goods (stoves, hot water heaters, dishwashers) Refrigerators, air conditioners & water coolers ($10 surcharge for Freon Removal) Scrap metal (any and all fabricated metal items) Rigid Plastic Items Packaging Foam Recycling Program Miscellaneous other materials   AUTO PARTS (whole autos not accepted) Lead acid vehicle batteries Fenders, doors, bumpers, etc. Tires     CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION DEBRIS Asphalt roofing shingles Asphalt, concrete, brick and block Siding (aluminum and vinyl) Gutters and downspouts Windows, doors and cabinets Electrical wiring Plumbing materials (piping, sinks, bathtub, toilets) Flooring (carpet, tile, rugs, linoleum) Sheet rock and wall board Treated and untreated wood Railroad ties Fencing (wood and metal) Miscellaneous other materials   No curbside pick-up services are available from this Facility.              QUESTIONS???  973-579-6998  Monday- Friday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm
